The Student Athlete Foundation has a young history of mentoring high school athletes. Below is a list of programs we have implemented to our youth since 2011
College Golf Showcase – This junior golf tournament has partnered with local Junior Golf Organizations in efforts to offer exposure opportunities to high school golfers. College Coaches are in attendance and will evaluate each participant in the area of full swing, short game, putting, as well as college golf recruiting education.
College Golf Day – Junior golfers had the opportunity to experience what college golfers do daily.
→ Educational luncheon with University of Houston golf coaches and other regional college coaches
→ Performance Seminar with UH coaches at Golf Club of Houston practice facility
→ Created golf recruiting videos for aspiring college golfers
A Day with the Pro’s – In 2013, PGA Tour Winner Charlie Beljan and Cameron Tringale invited our SAF junior golfers out to meet with them and offer their mentorship in golf and life. It is a great experience for the kids!
Fundraiser – This event is an opportunity for local business’ to support our junior golf foundation and scholarship fund. Our goal is to keep our costs low and offer complimentary instruction to junior golfers in Arizona, Oklahoma and Texas.
